Footprint

This is my project on my digital footprint

Digital Footprint

How might your digital footprint impact your high school experience?

Creating a positive digital footprint could work extremely well if you want to be accepted to a high school, college, or university, especially if you want to be favoured over other applicants. However, the opposite can be said about creating a negative digital footprint. If you’ve done anything horrible or malicious on the internet, schools have every reason to reject you. These statements can easily be applied to job applications as well.

How can your phone have a positive and negative impact on your learning?

Having a phone can help you learn and understand new concepts by searching it up online, which only takes a couple of seconds. It is extremely convenient to have a mini-computer in your pocket which has all known answers, which has helped me and many others hundreds of minutes. However, it can distract you from learning properly and lower your attention span, which is a common reason why teachers forbid phones in classes. Since phones emit blue light, if used before sleeping, students’ brains can get tricked into thinking it’s daytime and irregulate their sleep schedules.

School Culture

What attributes or characteristics do you have that can contribute to a positive school culture?

I try to be positive and energetic, as well as invest my time in a lot of musical extracurriculars. When I’m done with my work in one class, I don’t go on my phone or computer and kill time, I try to finish assignments from other classes so I don’t need to do them at home. I enjoy making people smile and laugh and ensuring their day is going okay if they seem down. I’m also open to helping people academically or emotionally.
