Digital Footprint

think before you post | Parent@Help LIBRARY 1.1

My foot print is practically nonexistent, only thing i could find was my Instagram however my account is privet so you can not see my posts without me accepting a follow request. This is a step i take to protect my digital footprint.

How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities?
Give at least two examples.

I feel your job is the most affected by your digital footprint. If u post or get tagged in pictures at party’s a lot or under aged drinking, ect. The employer will try to find everything to make sure you will be a good employee. I find more people are privet on social anyway.

Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your
digital footprint appropriate and safe

Once you post you post something anyone can see it. One person screenshots it they can send it to anyone.

Don’t follow people you don’t know also don’t let follow.

Abstain from social media.

What information did you learn that you would pass on to other
students? How would you go about telling them?

It’s important that you own your digital footprint, and that you know future employer will do a deep search of your footprint.

  1. Thank you for sharing your commentary on how to monitor your online use and how to maintain a credible digital footprint. Below are some observations about your post:

    – Details or explanations answer the three questions regarding responsible online use
    – Includes appropriate photos or media as instructed, you should have 6 photos, there is only one
    – Post is completed, but if you want to make changes, please do so and email me the link once completed.
