In the play “Death of a Salesman” written by Arthur Miller in 1949 there are many examples of tragedy through out the play. A brief synopsis for “Death of a Salesman” is about a loss of identity and a man’s inability (Willy Loman) to accept change within himself and society. The play is a compilation of memories, dreams, confrontations, and arguments. The play “Death of a Salesman” fits within the category of Tragedy because throughout the entire play you see examples of stress, distraught, regret, and suffering. My blackout poem illustrates the diamond which is a symbol for Willys brother Ben becuase he went to Africa and mined diamonds and became rich. My poem also explains Willys sons which throughout the play Willy is nagging at them and telling to achieve something in life. After reading this the reader should have gained the knowledge of the play” Death of a Salesman” and how my blackout poem fits in with the play.
