How Can Humans Make Beekeeping as Efficient As Possible?

My wonder question: “How can humans make beekeeping as efficient as possible?”

My Sway:

Reflection on information fluency:

1. List your 3-5 critical questions you tried to answer in order to research your topic:

  1. How to get the most honey out of bees?
  2. What’s the best kind of bees hive?
  3. What are VSH bees?
  4. How much honey can we take from beehives?

2. What new or familiar digital tools did you try to use as you worked through this project?

A new digital tool to me was Gale Engage. I used lots of other websites from the school library webpage, like Worldbook Online, but never this one. I also went on some beekeeping websites that I’ve never been on before. But other than that I knew all of the other stuff, like Pexels, and Edge. I also made some Sway’s before, but it’s still fairly new to me, and I can definitely improve.

3. How did you verify and cite the information you found and show your research in a works cited?

I cited all of my information by making a bibliography. I used the website Cite This For Me: Harvard, APA, MLA Reference Generator to make the references for my bibliography. I put this bibliography at the end of my Sway above. Also, if I found the author of the website or page I looked them up, to see who they were. Out of the 2 people I found, all of the stuff I found out about them sounds real.

4. How did the process of completing this challenge go? What could you have done better?

Overall, I’d say I did fairly well with this project. I learned about another one of the credible websites on our online school library, Gale Engage. I also found out just how many beekeeping websites there are. I think that my Sway turned out pretty good, and I learned some cool features of it, like taking the source code. Gale engage was a bit hard to work with at some points, but it’s not the end of the world. Something I could have done better was take less notes/just right the main ideas down. I wasted too much time writing down all of the fine details of a big point. I didn’t even use ~ 3/4 of these points, and I didn’t have to hand in the notes, so there was no point in me doing  this. So, next time, I’ll do bullet points.
