• What did you build and why?

I and my group built a hand sanitizer dispenser. We wanted to do this because a lot of people that should hand sanitize don’t. So, streamlining the process will get more people to hand sanitize.

  • What did you learn during the process? What were some of the challenges? What were some of the learning moments? Use images as examples.

I learned a little about coding, a lot about 3d models and some about wiring breadboards. All these things that I learned were challenges because I didn’t really know how to do it but my group helped me. A learning moment that stands out is when I had to sand a hole bigger because we made it the exact size. It was a pain but now, I know to make holes 5% bigger. The hole I am talking about is the one that rests on the neck of the hand sanitizer. Another learning moment was when we 3d printed a piece with too strong of supports and it ruined the piece.

  • If you could do it all again, what would change? What could be improved? Dream…
  1. Have a stronger gear
  2. Optimize the wiring
  3. Make the hole bigger
  4. Maybe choose a better design
  5. Use better hand sanitizer
