Growing Old
When I consider how I’m growing old
To think therefore I soon will be displaced
As I have heard them tell it times untold
They all do have such thoughts that are misplaced
My eyes are aged as such a cracked brick wall
As one could tell its frayed from a quick glance
My skin is worn as such a child’s rag doll
As patches on the goods to be enhanced
Although my youth does not show through outside
My mind is a budding stem of a rose
As I grow my thoughts will not stand denied
Therefore I am as young as my thoughts expose
When I consider how I’m growing old
I think its not about what age I’m told
