What are your strengths in P.E.?

My strengths in PE are:

–          Keeping my partners motivated

–          Pushing myself to do my best

–          Helping to set up equipment

How is your effort in the course?  Do you feel you are improving?  Why or why not?

I believe that I tried my best and put lots of effort into activities. I also feel like I am improving my stamina and how well I can do our exercises.

What is something you find challenging in this course?  Describe how you can work on this.  You may use this challenge to create goals below.

Motivation can be challenging but if you have a partner that can cheer you on, you can create motivation to do the activities

Describe 3 goals you would like to achieve in this class before the end of the semester?

1.      I would like to improve even more in fitness tests

2.      Improve how long I can last doing an exercise without a break

3.      I would like to show more leadership

What strategies can you use in achieving your goals?

I can do a physical activity almost every day to get stronger and I can improve my social skills to improve my leadership as well.

Math Art with Linear Equations Reflection

I created letters using slope y-intercept form and y=a/x=b equations for each letter. I changed their slant, height, length, and position with lots of trial and error. I would keep changing the slope and y-intercept until I was happy with how the lines looked. I had challenges with getting lines to the spot that I wanted them in. Like I said before, there was lots of trial and error and it took many tries to get the line in the correct position. I had “aha” moments when I finally got a line in the position I wanted it to be in. I did not get help since I wanted to figure it out by myself. This assignment helped me understand how much a linear equation can change a line and how math can create art using linear equations.

Socials Self Assessment

If you are unable to read the text, this is what i wrote:

My strength in Social Studies is using our online textbooks to research about a certain subject and re writing it in my organizers. I believe that I am good at writing information about a subject and communicating with my neighbors to discuss information about that subject. During our first project, The Canadian mint project, I talked a lot with my neighbors to discuss problems in each region. Another action I did in class that provides evidence of my strengths is showing my neighbors the online workbooks and talking and writing about that subject. I can grow/ develop my explaining skills since in each project, i lack explanation and have a limited amount of detail in some subjects.

Encouraging my running partner and trying my best to learn new sports.

How is your effort in the course?  Do you feel you are improving?  Why or why not?

I think I’m putting in most of my effort but not all. I feel like I am improving though because ever since I started PE 9, I have felt so much stronger and it has been easier to run for long periods.

What is something you find challenging in this course?  Describe how you can work on this.  You may use this challenge to create goals below.

I find the running a little bit challenging since I’m not really used to running a lot.

I can exercise outside of school and just keep putting more effort instead of enough.

Footprint 2024

How does your previous digital
footprint aligns with how you would
want to be viewed moving forward?
(if you found nothing, how could
creating a positive digital footprint
to work in your favor?)

Creating a positive digital footprint could open up lots of opportunities. For example, if I were to have a negative digital footprint, I would have limited opportunities such as being able to go to university/college or even getting a job. Job recruiters will look at your digital footprint, impacting your chance of getting the job. Digital footprints are so much more important than you might think, because they can make or break your future. I would like to try to make a positive digital footprint by commenting nice compliments on someone’s video or even posting a kind video. In conclusion, building a negative digital footprint will limit the opportunities that you have in life. When I searched myself up, all I found was my old facebook account that didn’t even have anything on it.

Should self-regulation policies be implemented for academic
settings, such as schools, as students cannot regulate themselves?

Yes, but students should still learn how to regulate themselves as that skill would be useful. If students can’t regulate themselves, policies should be implemented in academic settings. So, I think that teachers should teach the students how important self-regulation is, show some examples of it, and then try to get the students to regulate themselves in a classroom setting. I always use my phone for extended hours and I have been trying to set up a system where I have to put my phone away an hour before I go to sleep and an hour after I wake up.

How might artificial intelligence
negatively impact your learning
or school experience?

One way that artificial intelligence could negatively impact a student’s school experience is that they could use artificial intelligence to cheat their way through assignments or tests. That is the worst case scenario, but if used correctly, AI can be a very helpful tool for students and teachers. I personally do not use AI to get answers to assignments, but one example of when I do use AI is sometimes it is useful to explain ideas or translate any hard-to-understand words or articles when I need to understand any criteria or find definitions. Overall, AI can be useful when used correctly but can mess up an assignment if you use it to write something for you.
