How does your previous digital
footprint aligns with how you would
want to be viewed moving forward?
(if you found nothing, how could
creating a positive digital footprint
to work in your favor?)
Creating a positive digital footprint could open up lots of opportunities. For example, if I were to have a negative digital footprint, I would have limited opportunities such as being able to go to university/college or even getting a job. Job recruiters will look at your digital footprint, impacting your chance of getting the job. Digital footprints are so much more important than you might think, because they can make or break your future. I would like to try to make a positive digital footprint by commenting nice compliments on someone’s video or even posting a kind video. In conclusion, building a negative digital footprint will limit the opportunities that you have in life. When I searched myself up, all I found was my old facebook account that didn’t even have anything on it.
Should self-regulation policies be implemented for academic
settings, such as schools, as students cannot regulate themselves?
Yes, but students should still learn how to regulate themselves as that skill would be useful. If students can’t regulate themselves, policies should be implemented in academic settings. So, I think that teachers should teach the students how important self-regulation is, show some examples of it, and then try to get the students to regulate themselves in a classroom setting. I always use my phone for extended hours and I have been trying to set up a system where I have to put my phone away an hour before I go to sleep and an hour after I wake up.
How might artificial intelligence
negatively impact your learning
or school experience?
One way that artificial intelligence could negatively impact a student’s school experience is that they could use artificial intelligence to cheat their way through assignments or tests. That is the worst case scenario, but if used correctly, AI can be a very helpful tool for students and teachers. I personally do not use AI to get answers to assignments, but one example of when I do use AI is sometimes it is useful to explain ideas or translate any hard-to-understand words or articles when I need to understand any criteria or find definitions. Overall, AI can be useful when used correctly but can mess up an assignment if you use it to write something for you.
