HCE 9 – English Write
I think the message of this picture is gender inequality because as I’m looking at it the 3 woman are struggling to keep the podium up and the 3 man are just standing there smiling. It’s easy for men to go up than women since they struggle to go up. Mostly men get more opportunities than women since society is unfair on gender basis. They think women don’t all have the strategy society mostly relies on men for example if a man and a woman start from the bottom when they both try to build a business. For men, it’s easier for them to step up because a lot of people are investing in their stocks so they get more opportunities coming as a woman it is harder for them to step up because in society a lot of people are sexist they favor men more. Mostly women-owned businesses tend to receive less funding and investment is crucial for business growth. Most women are housewives so are stay home wives because either their husbands want to stay home or take care of their kids. So that’s also why they don’t have any opportunities to focus on what career they wanna do. I used this idea to describe it since its easier for me to describe that this picture message is gender inequality. I think the intended message of this is inclusivity seeing that these woman are struggling and the 3 man are not including the 3 woman from their success or they should included woman.
- What do I see when I look at this image?
3 woman below the 3 men and the 3 woman are struggling to keep the podium up
How does it make me feel? (first impressions, lingering feelings after)
I feel bad for the 3 woman that are struggling
What does the image/picture seem to be trying to say? (What do you think the owner/author is trying to say to you?)
I think the author is trying to say is this picture if about gender inequality and that its unfair for the three woman that are struggling while these men are happy because of there success but actually the woman’s were doing all there work for them.
Color: How is color used in the image? What effect do the colors chosen have on the viewer?
For the 3 woman the author made them dress up the same outfit hair color as well and for the 3 man the author also did the same thing the author dress them up the same.
Angles: Are we looking from above or below? What is the camera angle? How does this affect what we see and how we feel about it?
The angle of the camera was front so everyone could see it and it made me feel bad for the woman that are struggling because they shouldn’t do the mans work.
Ecology Mini Scrapbook Assignment
Observe an organism:
All the pictures, food web, producer, consumer, decomposer, food chain and food pyramid
I observe a squirrel
Biosphere- Squirrels are a part of the biosphere as living organisms. they interact with other organisms within their ecosystems like other squirrels, insects, or plants.
Hydrosphere- Squirrels rely on water sources within their habitat such as rivers or ponds, to drink or find food.
Geosphere- Squirrels inhabit the land, utilizing trees as their primary habitat. They climb trees, dig burrows, and build nests in the branches, interacting directly with the geosphere.
Atmosphere- Squirrels live within the atmosphere and depend on the air for respiration. They move through the air by leaping between trees, they can also glide.
Producer- The niche of a fern as a producer refers to its role and ecological position within its specific habitat or ecosystems. Fern’s niche involves considering factors such as its environment, interactions with other organisms, and its functional role in the ecosystem. Ferns can be found in other places like forests, swamps, grasslands, and tropical rainforests.
Consumer-The niche of a fly as a consumer refers to its role and ecological position within its specific habitat or ecosystem. Flies are insects that typically have a diverse range of feeding behaviors, and understanding their niche involves considering factors such as their diet, habitat, interactions with other organisms, and their functional role in the ecosystem.
Decomposer- The niche of fungi as a decomposer refers to their role and ecological position within their habitat or ecosystem. Fungi play s vital role in the decomposition of organic matter, breaking down dead plant and animal material and returning nutrients to the ecosystem. Fungi’s niche involves considering factors such as their feeding behavior, habitat, interactions with other organisms, and their functional role in nutrient cycling.
Which organisms store energy through photosynthesis?
An organism that stores energy through photosynthesis is a common terrestrial plant, such as maple trees. Maple trees, like many other plants, have chloroplasts in their cells, like many other plants, have chloroplasts in their cells which contain chlorophyll pigments that enable photosynthesis.
Which organisms release energy through cellular respiration?
Organisms that release energy through cellular respiration are both plants and animals. Humans, like ourselves are example organisms that undergo cellular respiration to release energy.
How might a food web that includes a consumer that is a threatened species (in low numbers) be affected if the consumers population continues to decline?
If a consumer species in a food web, such as a threatened species, experiences a continued decline in population numbers, it can have significant impacts on the overall dynamics of the food web. Berries are reported to form a part of bears’ diets. There would be fewer bears eating berries if the number of bears decreased. As a result of reducing predation pressure, the population of berries may rise. As predators, dragonflies eat other insects, especially those that eat berries. Fewer bears would be consuming berries if the bear population decreased, which would result in an increase in the population of tiny insects that eat berries. Birds frequently consume berries as well as insects, including dragonflies. The fruit and bug populations could shift as a result of a drop in the bear population, which could have an effect on the bird population.
