Week 3,  Feb 16, Life below water & inquiry

This week I mostly worked on my Life below water project. I first made a sold form that I was going to hollow out. However, we had the idea of using newspaper as a mould so I wouldn’t need to hollow it out. The newspaper idea didn’t work so well for me. I was frustrated and annoyed with what was happening, so I redid a sold form and hollowed it out myself.  I also took a break at times and started to make a bowl/plate using the forms.

My biggest success this week was trying something new. I really didn’t want to try the newspaper method because I really liked my original model.

My biggest struggle was the newspaper mould idea. It was hard for me to make the shape I wanted well doing this method and it was frustrating me.

My goal for next week is to have my life below water project ready to be underglazed.
