The long sides of the copper allows a current to flow through the loop. Since the loop is in a magnetic field the charges of the magnet feel forces. The loop has its own magnetic field and so does the magnet, and they both go against each other , making a force that would push the loop up and down causing the loop to start spinning as we see in the video.
