We used the I piler because it used less weight.
The wood that we used were long and we realized that if we laid it flat it would bend and break very easily, so we thought of laying it on its sides and when we did that it was very strong. all we need to do was to have some support on the sides so that it wouldn’t shift to the left or right when we put weights on it.
The forces are greatest at the very top and very bottom. Increasing the depth of the beam increases the bending strength by the depth cubed, so we can gain a lot of stiffness this way
