This is your lovely wife Catherine.

We wish you can come home soon. Our son and daughter are waiting for you at their secret tree house . They have grown big and tall and they pray day and night for you safety. The kids are doing great at school right now, getting good grades and making new friends. I am doing fine as well working as a farmer and teacher in the mornings and tank mechanic some nights. We all are trying to help the army as much as possible to keep you safe while you are at the front.

Where doing fine in Canada; the parliament had signed “The War Measures Act” which all the country will  help and support the army as a first priority. Since then it has been harder to buy some food and tools because they are sent to the army.  The government is using a lot propagandas about war saying that if you join to the army and fight with them you will be awarded with a good retirement.

I am sad last Sunday because one of our neighbors kid had to go to the war because he was more than 18 years old. I gave her mother a lot of confort,  telling her that we will all get through this together.

Also the radio said that the Canadian army was succeeding in their advance at the war, so I am very grateful in hearing the good news.

We are missing you since you have left to volunteering in this war. Because our men are in the front; there are more jobs open for the women to take the men jobs.  I hope after all this end the government will keep us work a men jobs. At the moment, the army want more volunteers at the front, so the Canadian Expeditionary Force CEF called for  25 thousand men more and they got 35 thousand men, in two months; it is incredible our citizen support.

You know that I am a peaceful woman and I am against this war but because you are in the front I will help with all that I have to win and bring you back as soon as possible.
