What are some things that were challenging?
I feel that the most challenging part of the assignment was forcing myself to actually start. As someone with no experience in the Maker Space I was very intimidated by the idea of the Cricut. However, after watching the tutorial videos and actually starting. I quickly realized that this is very simple. Later I was intimidated my the small details until I actually transferred them ideally. This was very fun and relieving since I got so worked up over nothing.
What are some things that worked well?
I think that overall the process worked very well. It may just be beginners luck or just major attention to detail but there weren’t any bumps in the process. I was very surprised at my instant success with transferring the little details and especially the thin cursive writing. Overall, I am very happy with the execution of this assignment and I can’t wait to create more.
What did you learn? How can you apply this?
For starters, I learned how to use the Cricut Maker. I believe that is a great accomplishment. I can use this knowledge to further m education and creative mindset. By this I mean I could create projects that go above and beyond for my classes or even just cool things for fun. I also learned the importance of just starting. By this I mean that even if something seems difficult one won’t know unless they actually start, see what went well or wrong, and only then create assumptions and adapt to improve. I am very eager to learn many more skills with cool machines in the Maker Space.
