Book Summary

The Fill-In Boyfriend is a high school romance novel involving a teenager named Gia Montgomery who was dumped by her former boyfriend during a high school prom. She finds a guy that she knows nothing about waiting for her sister. This is when she takes the courage to ask him to be her ‘boyfriend’ to win back Bradley. Over the course of the book, Gia’s love for Hayden grows stronger and stronger until she wants him to be her current boyfriend. This causes Bradley to get jealous and try to ruin her life as well as Hayden’s.

 

Why I love this book

My number one favourite genre is romance, so I decided to use this book as the book I am writing about. I’m not really a person who has one favourite book as I also like mystery and drama besides romance. This book was an easy and fun read that I enjoyed because of the trope of fake dating which brings in a lot of drama and how it was written in first person, which helped me gain a closer connection to Gia.
