Nouvelle Culture – La Nouvelle Russie Conclusion

Conclusion Finale

Wonder Project

How was life created and why?

There are many things we will never know about in the universe, one of those being how life was ever created and the reason why.

Essentially, there’s no way of knowing yet. You can make up theories and there’s a large chance that someone has come up with the correct one. Possibly, scientists could one day find a way to truly find out why life was initially created and why we’re still in existence.

As humans, our purpose as a living creature has been decided by our society. There isn’t literally somebody from above telling us what to do and why. Society has formed ideas of what a normal human should achieve to be considered successful ; to have fulfilled their purpose. Though what society calls success makes sense for natural reasons (having children, getting married, having money, etc), how do we know that’s what we’re actually meant to do? These are the things we’ll never know.

There are many theories as to why and how the universe and life was created. One of the theories is that it started with an electric spark. I’m not sure how this theory came to be, but it is quite interesting. Some people believe that in the nothingness, there was a random electric spark that set off the beginning of the universe. There’s no proof and no way to back this theory up, but it could be entirely possible.

Another guess that people have made is that everything came from molecules. Basically, they think that everything started very, very small, and became bigger over time and came together with other molecules and created new things. This is a more realistic theory because it makes the most scientific sense. Similar to how living things start small and grow up over a period of time, this theory that everything starts small agrees with what nature still does now.

Some people involved in religion, such as Christians, Catholics, etc, believe that there is someone watching over them (like a god), and that they were who created life and that they’re who to thank for everything. The possibility of a person being behind the creation of life could be entirely true.

We may never know what really caused life and the reason behind it, but we will always have guesses. Personally, I think it all started from very small molecules and over time became bigger and started forming life.

In the Woods

Hemlock looper moth ( lambdina fiscellaria )

The hemlock looper moth is native to North America. They are cream coloured and they have brown lines on their wings so that they can blend into a tree called an oak besma, which is the tree they most commonly live on.

Banana slug ( ariolimax colombianus )

The banana slugs are also North American. They are often different colours and can vary from bright yellow, to a dark brown. The colours change depending of their diets and location as to adjust to the leaves and dirt around them so that they are more hidden.

Wood bugs ( armadillidiam nasatum )

Wood bugs are in many parts of the world such as the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and here. They mainly like to hangout on large patches of moss on trees. They are a brownish grey colour, which makes them very hard to notice in dirt and on wood. They are also very small so if you want to be able to see one of these guys, you have to look very closely.

Large red slug ( arion rufus )

The large red slug lives all over the place. It doesn’t tend to have one true home place. They like to live in woodland areas, often near large water sources. As you can see in the picture that is shown, it is orange. Through natural selection, this particular slug has become the same colour as the browning leaves. It has also learned that it won’t be seen whilst on these leaves.

Protected: FN 10 Consumable Waste Assignment

Thinking of the food I eat daily, they almost all come from packaging. The kinds of packaging are often plastic bags but occasionally there’s cardboard, Styrofoam and boxes.

The materials that are chosen are what they are because I think it’s what works with the items. It doesn’t make sense to put chips in Styrofoam but putting them in plastic bags does make sense.

I also think plastic bags are the cheapest thing to use out of all the materials. Plastic bags are the most durable, they’re waterproof, they don’t usually rip and they are the cheapest. Companies don’t care about the environment enough to make more executed and environmentally safe decisions.

Packaging can be negative to the consumer because it becomes their responsibility and their job to clean up and hopefully do the right thing with the packaging. It can be positive because it’s much easier to have things put in packaging then to simply have the food items given to them in nothing.

Once we have eaten out food, the packaging is supposed to be recycled based on what type of material was used. I personally think that more times than not, packaging is put directly into the garbage can. Sometimes, that is where it is supposed to be, but it usually isn’t.

Packaging makes its way into a landfill, if it was not properly recycled to begin with, then that piece of packaging could stay there for however long it takes to decompose or burn into the atmosphere. It could easily take up to 100 years but it varies.

Food waste is hopefully put into the compost and then it is composted. If it’s not recycled properly it does the same thing as the packaging until it decomposes on its own.

To decrease the amount of waste we make we could make sure we’re always recycling correctly. You could try and not waste as much packaging you use like reusing it for your own things and finding ways to make sure nothing goes for granted.
