“Cold Blooded” By Khalid

1. This song is about a guy who likes this girl but he thinks that she is just using him and leading him on because other guys did that to her.  The song is about social and psychological interactions.  Social because they are together but psychological because he has all these ways of thinking about her and what she’s doing.
2. The artist, Khalid, is the narrator who is talking to this girl that he has some sort of relationship with.  He’s talking to her because he is confused and wants answers on what she’s doing.
3. The vocabulary in this song is pretty simple, all the words are common known.  The song is quite a cliché for the fact that it’s about  girl and she is sort of playing him.
4. The narrator id being serious as he goes on with the song.  He wants to know if she really does love him or if she is just playing him.  The tone doesn’t change throughout the song, he stays serious all the way tot he end.
5. The rhythm is very simple.  A verse followed by a repeating bridge and chorus.  There isn’t any rhyme in the song.  It is a closed poem.
6. There is use of repetition, metaphor, personification and hyperbole.
7. The artist does a very good job of explaining the situation and gives you a feel of what it’s like.  He is able to create a good tone and stick with it to make a mood for the song.  The reader/listener is able to connect with him and his struggles.  They are able to feel what he is feeling and understand his experience.  It can also make people think twice before jumping into a relationship and follow your gut feeling about people.
