How Do People Maintain Their Culture Post Immigration

Every year Toronto hosts a huge festival embracing India.  The festival celebrates India’s culture with dance, food and art.

A judge told a Muslim woman was told that she would not here her case until she took her head scarf off.  Her scarf is part of her culture and religion.  Canada is supposed to have freedom and equality for all.  So why would she have to take her scarf off if she is in a country of freedom.

Canada is a multicultural country and it is not.  We have some people who still treat others with disrespect.   Although there is this issue we have many who fight for equality and who help make Canada a more welcoming place.  We still need some work on the issue of racism and discrimination but we will be able to overcome the prejudice within time.
