Week 6 – Precalculus 11 – Radicals and multiplication

\left(\sqrt{6}+\sqrt{2}\right)\left(\sqrt{6}-\sqrt{3}\right)

To solve this equation, we use the foil method like always.

\sqrt{36} -\sqrt{18} + \sqrt{12}-\sqrt{6}

= 6-3\sqrt{2}+\sqrt{12}-\sqrt{6}

We can multiply radicals but can’t add them if the radicands are not the same.
