Prophase – replicated DNA models join together to form sister chromatids

 

 

Metaphase – the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell equator

 

Anaphase – untie the sister chromatids and move the 2 halves of each chromosome away from each other to the opposite sides of the cell

Telophase – the spindle fibres disappear. 2 nuclear membranes form
