Winston from “1984”

Winston smith is a clumsy, scrawny middle aged man, who has his own beliefs, but is obviously taken under the influence by the society he lives in. he is a wise man, but has trouble following through on his ideas. Winston is also a very weary man, and he seems to be very careful. He is also very observant, and has an opinion and an idea on what is going on around him, but he is also under a mental influence of the government and big brother. He has glasses, and is skinny with frail arms, and he wears a blue coverall. He is a very paranoid person, who looks and feels tired. He is a smoker, and his diet consists of bread and gin. He lives in a grimy and low level living apartment called the victory mansions.

In our book  “1984” our protagonist Winston is thought out to be a frail weak and weary man, as described when he has difficulty going to his apartment,  ” The flat was seven flights up, and Winston, who was thirty nine and had a varicose ulcer above his right ankle went slowly, resting several times on the way.” (Orwell 3).
