Oblek Experiment

image

Today I worked with Oblek. It has qualities of both a liquid and a solid. When poured out of the bag it looks like a liquid. When picked up, it cannot hold its shape.  Eventually the substance dried out and it was able to be rolled into a ball momentarily. My group then dropped the ball onto the table but it did not bounce. Instead it slowly turned back into a liquid. If we added more water to the substance it returned to its previous consistency. The experiment was quite messy. Corn starch got onto our clothes and the Oblek stuck to our hands and the desks.
