Photography Profile

hello, I’m Brooke Hamilton I’m in grade 12 and I got to Riverside Secondary. this year I decided to take photography because I needed another course. Throughout this course, I have learned how to use and camera. I think photography is a good and fun course to take and photography is a cool way of expressing yourself. I face a few challenges during photography. some of them were understanding the camera Luckily I had people in the class who could help.  I also had trouble handing in assignments on time. With the knowledge I have now from photography, I will be able to use that in the future if I ever have to take photos.

i chose these photos from project one because I like the first one because of the trees and i like the window at school. I like the second one because when I took it I was starting to think about my future and where i am going after high school. I could improve on the the expose and camera technique.

I chose the middle and bottom right photos because I like the art in the background and the the bottom because I think its just looks good. i could improve on finding the right angle and the right lighting.

I chose these photos from project 3 because the first one took me a long time to get the right one and I’m proud of it and I chose the second one because its candid and i feel it looks good. I could improve on posing in these photos.

My two best photos from project 4 are the two i used to make the photo. i could improve on the technique and my photoshop skills. I likes these photos because I think my posing is good.

Brown Aesthetic Group Project Presentation

For project 5 it shows my worst and best.

I chose these photos because i like how close and clear my first photo is and i like the second one because I mostly took photos of nature but i like this one and how its a keychain. i could improve on the focus and lighting.

Multiple Exposure

i chose the two front people in the photo as  my best because they are the most focused. i could improve on focus and on my editing skills.

i will be taking my photography skills into my day to day life by taking more photos and better angles and taking more of my friends and maybe also starting to use a digital camera. i will push my self creativly by taking more photos in general. my goal for the future is to 1. think more outside of the box. 2. to take more photos and 3. think more about the photos i take.

Neuron Communication

A neuron is a cell that will get messages from the brain and send it to other parts of the body to make you move or physically feel something. In a neuron there are the parts of the neuron which i labeled in my photo. The main parts are the cell body, the dendrites, the axon, the node of Ranvier that is in-between the myelin sheath. How a message does through the neuron is the dentaries that send the message, and it goes through the cell body to the axon to send a message. It goes through the node of Ranvier hoping over the myelin sheath which gives it a lot of action potential going through and then goes thought the axon on terminal to give the message. Once the action potential gets to the end of the axon it goes through synapses which send the chemical signal from the axon to another cell. Throughout the action potential there are 3 stages depolarization which is when the messages are going through the membrane letting Na into the membrane. Then repolarization which is when a new channel opens letting K out repolarization cause depolarization. Lastly is the refractory period, it will push the Na in the axon and K out to restart the stages.

The start of synapses is in the axon terminal bulb with the message will produce neurotransmitters and store it in the synaptic vesicles. The action potential then pushes the synaptic vesicles though presynaptic membrane on the axon bulb into the synaptic gap which is a space between the axon and dentaries. The neurotransmitter then diffuses through the gap and binds to the postsynaptic membrane and receives the message.

Life on Land research

sept 18th, week #3,(Life on Land Research)
the threats to dogs are that in some countries dogs are trafficked and not cared about or loved. dogs are also used to smuggle drugs. also because of past stereotypes so dogs are seen as vicious and aggressive which is not always true but for the dogs with a breed stereotypes get put down for no reason.
the solutions to some of these problems are not been found yet but for breed stereotypes many are put into shelters and people foster dogs with issues and without issues while they look for  a forever home. there are also associations that help find dogs who may be in a dog fighting situation or a bad breeder situation and takes the dogs and brings them to hospitals and shelters to be cared for.
