Week 17 in Precalc 11 – Applications of Sine Law to Triangles

This week in Precalc 11 I have learned what sine law is, how I can use it and what applies to it. I chose to display in solving with sine law because it is one of the easiest law to learn and apply to triangles. Sine law helps you find a side or an angle of a triangle.

The equation is….

SinC/c = SinA/a = SinB/b

Capitals is for corresponding angles and lowercase is for the sides. You don’t not need all three parts of the equation to solve, you can use just two.

For what ever you are trying to find you need to rearrange the equation. In the example I have provided I show how to rearrange the equation to find the R angle.
