CC Self-Assessment – Socials 9

In Science Humains (or Socials) 9, we learned about revolutions like the French and American one. This reflection is more going to be on a project which was making a timeline for the French revolution.

I am open-minded and patient, taking the time to explore, discover, and understand.

This project took me a while because I was unsure of some of the events and how to describe them, so I was able to be patient with myself to try and find the correct information. I process things very slowly, so I had to take a while to be able to explain them as well as try and match a picture with the events. Finding the pictures also took a while, so I had to take a while to explore with my resources.

I can find some evidence and make judgments.

I was able to find evidence of what was true or not and make my own judgements. Sometimes it was difficult to find sources that said the same thing just because history is kind of subjective just because of how many different theories there are. I had to collect the information and evidence I had and make my own judgements of what was correct and what wasn’t.

I can examine my thinking, seek feedback, reassess my work, and adjust.

For some of the events, I thought it was something different than what it really was, so sometimes I had to step back and look at what I thought and the sources before coming to a conclusion. Sometimes it was difficult so I did ask questions and I was able to reassess by using the help of a friend or a teacher.
