Interphase (Before Mitosis): The DNA replicates so there are now two copies of each piece of DNA.
Prophase: The DNA wraps up to form X shaped chromosomes
Prophase (Continued): Spindle fibres, or “Micro Tubulars” appear on both sides of the cell
Prophase (Continued): The spindle fibres attach to the ends of each sister chromatid
Prophase (Continued): The Nuclear Membrane disappears
Metaphase: The chromosomes line up on the equator of the cell
Anaphase: The spindle fibres pull each sister chromatid to separate sides of the cell, turning the X shaped chromosome into two singular strands.
Telophase: The spindle fibres disappear
Telophase (Continued): Two nuclear membranes form around each group of chromosomes
Cytokinesis (After Mitosis): The cell splits into two separate and identical daughter cells
