There are 25 invited for brunch. One batch of pancakes serves 10 people. One batch calls for 1 1/2 cups of flower. Adjust the recipe to account for the people .

25 ÷ 10 = 2.5 = $\frac {3}{2}$ or 1 $\frac {1}{2}$

1 $\frac {1}{2}$ = $\frac{5}{2}$

$\frac {3}{2} \times \frac{5}{2}$ = $\frac {15}{4}$ or 3 $\frac {3}{4}$ = 3.75

For 25 people, 2.5 batches are needed.

Therefor 3.75 cups of flour are needed to account for the people.
