Strength, Stretch and Goal
FINAL REVIEW
We are close to the end of the semester. Now is the time to take some time and start to reflect on your progress in this course. The information that you provide will go on your final report. This must be completed in order for me to write your report card comment.
STRENGTH- a skill that you do well in the course.
STRETCH- a skill that you struggle with and is one that you must continue to work on.
GOAL- a skill that you would like to achieve by the end of this semester.
By the end of the semester, as a student you will be able to achieve these skills. The skills are broken down into Reading goals and Writing goals.

GOAL WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL AT THE MID POINT IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12?
My goal at the midpoint of this course was to maintain my A grade and stay on top of all the work. I
also wanted to make sure i stayed organized and didn’t fall behind on any work given.
GOAL DID YOU MEET YOUR GOAL IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? WHY OR WHY NOT
Yes, i think i did meet my goal in this class. I was able to meet my goal because I was able to stay
focused and not get distracted. While i wasn’t always focused on class, i always got my work down
at home. I don’t think i had a single assignment late. I am proud of myself for being able to follow
through with my goal for this class.
STRENGTH REFLECTING ON YOUR SEMESTER, WHAT DO YOU THINK WAS ONE STRENGTH THAT WENT WELL IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? GIVE ONE EXAMPLE OF YOUR STRENGTH IN THIS COURSE.
One strength i think i had was being able to hand in all my work on time. In English classes in the
past, i was always handing in assignments and tasks late, but this year was a very opposite of this.
I got my work done well before the due date, also giving myself chances to re-read and make sure
it was my best work.
AREA OF GROWTH WHAT WAS ONE AREA FOR YOU IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12 WHERE YOU STILL NEED TO GROW? GIVE ONE EXAMPLE OF YOUR AREA OF GROWTH IN THIS COURSE.
I think one area I still need to work on is re reading my work. For example, when i submit a project
or assignment, i often don’t review and make sure there is no mistakes. Sometimes when i get my
project back, i see small mistakes that i knew i could have fixed. This most likely caused me a few
marks, and it is an easy fix if i just reviewed it. If it took this class again, i would make sure i did this.
FINAL THOUGHTS HOW DO YOU FEEL YOU DID IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? WHAT WERE YOU ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS SEMESTER IN THIS COURSE?
For my final thoughts, i thought overall i did pretty good. I did struggle with some projects and
assignments at the beginning, but as the term went on, i got better. I think this happened because
i was able to truly understand the material better and it helped me to get better grades.
