My (or my group’s) experience was pretty good. We focused for the most part of the project, but always found a little bit of time for some fun. We got along and didn’t have a hard time deciding who would do what. Working as one team, we helped each other with certain parts, and we all worked on what we did well in. In general, I would say this project was a success.
I feel like our path was fairly good and didn’t have a lot of difficulties finding the raw information. Although, one of our challenges was finding the right information for the right answers. There were a lot of websites out there with a lot of details, and as a group, we had to decide which included the most knowledge. Once we found the information, it was only a matter of bringing the words into our podcast, and we were pretty finished. I also think that we did an equal amount of work and that it was 33%/33%/33% work-wise.
The recording part of this project was the most challenging. Getting the microphone an equal distance away from us, cutting almost 20 times during our podcast and not making mistakes while speaking were all part of our struggles. Although we didn’t get much better while doing the project, we made it work and tried our best. Another issue we had while making this podcast was that a lot of members were away. We had to communicate and go out of our way to message our group members to ensure they were completing their work.
I would say the biggest way that I communicate is by writing. Although I am not the strongest writer, I feel that when I write, I can express what I feel the most and write the most efficient way possible. Especially when the writing is personal, and it is only read by the teacher/tutor, I can open up a little bit more and show what I really think. Another way I express my learning is by talking and telling someone what I know. When they give me feedback, both positive and negative, I feel that it will help whatever assignment that I am doing that includes writing.
