Poetry Talks – Connotation and Denotation

Poetry Talks Paragraph – Connotation and Denotation

A connotation is an unspoken connection to a word. A denotation on the other hand is the literal definition of the word. Some examples of connotation and denotation that I came up with are Disney World some connotations we might have with Disney World are fun, joy, kids, crowds etc. The denotation of Disney World is theme park located in Florida. Canada, some connotations: cold weather, maple syrup, moose, hockey etc. The denotation is a country in North America. Finally, we have diamonds some connotations might be wealth, luxury, jewelry. The denotation is crystalline carbon that is the hardest known mineral, that is usually nearly colorless, that when transparent and free from flaws is highly valued as a precious stone. Hopefully, you understand connotation and denotation now.
