Hunger Games Theme Park District 13

For this project we did a Hunger Games style them park and our theme park are based on district 13. The characteristics of district 13 is that it is based on nuclear technology which means they made nuclear weapons like missiles, bombs and even nukes. Also, they were a threat to the capitol because how they were the people that were first to rebel back because they were unhappy and because they have the weapons to destroy but since the capitol knew they used their own missiles against district 13 and were destroyed from the capitol. Another thing is that when district 13 got blown up Plutarch Heavensbee made a base inside this mountain and was planning to destroy the capital which people from different districts knew about. Furthermore, the software we used to complete the assignment is an app called Night Cafe and some research on google which was needed since we didn’t know much of the characters from district 13. For the core competence for I chose creative thinking because when we were making the ideas for the rides and the staple food it took a lot of thought to make the foods because we wanted it to be interesting and more fun than a regular roller coaster and since the Hunger games is in the future and has a lot of futuristic technology we thought about that and used it. For example, for our first ride there is a ride that has magnetic railways so that it stays on easier and has a small jump to make it more exciting.

When I started this assignment the experience, I had been that I could write the script and give out information properly. Also, I can talk in a clear voice during the podcast. The path of our group was that my partners Mason Dean would help me give ideas for the script and the writing for the essay while Benyamin Manavipour would do all the research for the team. The obstacles we faced during the making of the podcast are that we got easily distracted since we are all friends, so we got off track but during the editing we were struggling with how audacity works and were figuring it out while recording our podcast. For my core competency the ways I showed my use of communication was that I was telling what everyone should do and being a decent leader and listener to all my teammates which shows that i can communicate and listen when people communicate to me.

Volunteer

the volunteer research i am doing is working with food and in the kitchen so i can know more of the safety of it and how it effects our bodies. this opportunity will benefit my future because in the future i want to be a chef and work around in the kitchen which means this helps benefit my skills and what to do when anything dangerous happens or what tactics there is to different kinds of food. I’m very passionate about this is because as a kid i always liked to eat and cook food with my family and liked doing anything small to help with the cooking for my family. Also i got inspiration by famous chefs like Gordan Ramsey, and Nick Giovanni.

I’m researching about Mcdonald’s, how this benefits my future is because of that it gives more of a feel how it works around i a kitchen and gives me an opportunity to really show the skills i have and that i enjoy cooking also this helps me get into higher cooking jobs that will help me later on in the future. The things it requires you to have is to be in high school be kind and to have some skills int the workplace but the rest they say they will teach you and show you how to do things in the workplace. Furthermore the things i bring to it is that i am a passionate worker i know my way through a kitchen i can easily do anything that anyone tells me to do and i’m a very social person so i thought mind talking to strangers.  In my opinion is that i think i fit right into this job and that i dont need to change anything to get hired.

  • How do you use words and actions to encourage other students who might be feeling a bit sad or discouraged? 

                

I would show care and actively listen to them and use positive and affirming language to help them through the troubles, I would show support and care, so they do not feel left out and show them a positive mindset. 

 

 

 

 

  • What contribution have you made to our school that you feel good about? How did you get started doing that?  

 

I have shown a positive mind set and made everything enjoyable by making everyone laugh and showing care and kindness. Also, I have shown that I cared about the work and that I have put effort and all my mind into it, the way I started when I first came here is just being a social person and making friends with the people around me.
