Writing linear equations:
In week 9 we learned about linear relations. One important part was learning how to write a linear equation. Being able to write linear equations is a fundamental base for the rest of this unit.
To start, determine the pattern, then create a t-chart to make it easier. Find how much it increases every time, then find the amount between the amount it increases and the first y value and this will create your equation.
Example:
Vocabulary:
T-chart: table of values
Pattern: sequence of repeating numbers
Linear equation: equation between two variables that create a line
Linear pattern: pattern that makes a straight line
