Prime Factorization
This week we learned about prime factorization. A strategy to figure out a numbers prime factors is by using something called a “factor tree”.
A factor tree begins with one number and then divides it by a smaller one, using normally a low prime number such as 2 or 3.
Example:
factor: a number you can multiply with another number with a result of a product
prime: a number that has only two factors. Itself, and 1
