Business & Entrepreneurship 12 Core Competencies Self-Assessment

Strengths (I am good at…)
I am good at coming up with creative business ideas, working with others in group projects, and staying organized with deadlines. I also feel confident when presenting in front of the class or pitching an idea.

Examples and Evidence of My Strengths (I know this because…)
I know this because in our last group project, I helped come up with the idea for our app that teaches teens about gambling. I also kept our team on track by organizing who would do what and making sure everything was ready before the due date. My group said I was a good leader and that I explained our idea clearly during the pitch.

My Plan to Reach My Goals (To do this I will…)
To reach my goals, I will keep practicing my speaking skills, especially when I’m nervous. I’ll also keep taking notes and asking questions so I fully understand everything. Outside of class, I’ll try more real-world experiences like selling things online or helping with marketing to build my skills.

My Goals (I can get better at…)
I can get better at managing my time when I have a lot of projects or assignments at once. Sometimes I leave things to the last minute, so I want to work on spreading things out better and starting earlier.

Reflection on Foundations 11

So far in Foundations 11, I have developed stronger problem-solving skills, especially in statistics and data management. I have improved my ability to use tools like Desmos and Excel to analyze data and complete assignments efficiently. One of the biggest changes I’ve noticed is my ability to work collaboratively in group settings, where I have contributed to discussions and problem-solving.

One notable experience was working on a statistics project where I used Excel to organize and analyze data. This project helped me understand real-world applications of statistics and improved my technical skills. Additionally, I have been more consistent with daily practice and have started asking for help when I need it, which has made a big difference in my understanding of concepts.

Moving forward, I aim to work on my time management and problem-solving strategies to handle more complex problems effectively. By continuing to engage in class, ask questions, and apply my skills, I will continue to grow in this course.

Strengths + Strechs Goals Evalution

In the latter part of the semester, I continued to show my strength as an athletic basketball player by staying committed to my training, performing well in games, and being a strong team player. My mid-term goal was to improve my focus, especially in areas I’m less passionate about, like certain sports in class. While I made some progress, I still struggled at times to give full effort in those sports. If I could go back, I would remind myself to treat every activity as an opportunity to grow and try harder to push through even when I’m not fully interested. My biggest area of growth has been my ability to stay consistent in my main sport, basketball, and manage my time between school and athletics. Overall, this semester went well in terms of maintaining my strengths, but if I could start over, I would put more effort into the sports I don’t enjoy as much to show a more balanced attitude.
