Fictional science safety story
One day in science class, the science teacher was talking about a scientific dilemma. The teacher said to the class lets talk about animal testing. So, we did. After the teacher asked, “who has one to share”. I raised my hand and said “I do”. So, then I shared my dilemma. It was about space colonization. After the discussion we had to go over some of the WHMIS and HOUSEDHOLD HAZARDOUS symbols. the first one that pops up is the danger sign, it showed the definition. This is a Household sign. The definition was alert us about hazardous chemicals that can potentially kill you or make you sick. Another symbol was about cross bones. This is a WHMIS SIGN. This is a poison. It can kill you and make you sick.
Then after going through the signs we went to see 5 different tools and see what they do. 1, beaker. It holds any type of liquid. 2, ring stand. This supports the burner and the iron ring.3 pipe stem triangle. Supports the crucible when heating on open flame. 4 file. Used to remove fine amounts of material of workpiece.5 corks. It stops the flow of compounds in the gas phase. Then we went over on some things on what to do and what not to do. “First we are going to talk about the good things we can do in a lab”. The teacher said. People where giving out suggestions form left to right it was like an auction. People said things like “ask when you need help”. “Be aware of your surroundings”. Then the teacher said “lets go to the next section”. now we were in the unsafe section. AGAIN. It was like can auction. People were saying like no running around no fooling around. Then on the next day we went to the lab, once we got there people where already fooling around with the chemicals In there. Then a Huge explosion and the school got burned down. THE END.

Good work on your fictional safety story. You communicated your understanding of safety issues in the Science class and included many pieces of scientific equipment. Don’t forget to include the picture of your safety symbols and tell a detailed Science ethical dilemma.
