Souf knocks on the door
Souf: Armaan hello I’m here to see you.
Armaan gets off the computer and walks to the door
Souf: what’s up man
Armaan: what’s good bro
Souf: how are you doing?
Armaan: good how are you?
Souf: good, good, good
Armaan: come in.
Souf: I have to talk to you about something very serious
Armaan: what do you want to talk about?
Souf: how come you haven’t been at school lately?
Armaan: I’ve been here playing on my videogames bro
Souf: I keep trying to text you so that we can go do something outside and the computers are the culprit
Armaan: yeah Souf: this thing is the culprit?
Armaan: yeah bro I interact with people online
Souf: this is not healthy for you. You game on it probably about 8 hours a day because you skip school, and you are on it after school too.
Armaan: yes. I interact with people online and I play video games with them too.
Souf: Armaan
Armaan: yes
Souf: you have to interact with people in the real world, like what we are doing right now.
Armaan: but I interact with them here.
Souf: not through pixels. You have to interact face to face because that’s the best way to interact with a human being. It makes you physically and mentally better to get up, walk around and socialize.
Armaan: ok, but I don’t want to.
Souf: ok Armaan lets face it. This is not the healthiest thing for you. What we’re doing right now is pretty healthy. Your up, your standing, you’re keeping the brain fresh and activated, and your healthy. Now come to school with me today and see how it is.
Armaan: bro I interact with people online here I don’t need to go. Souf: it’s not healthy for you Armaan because you sit on it for 8 hours a day. It creates a bad posture and affects your eyes. That’s why you wear those glasses. (Note Souf was just trying to get his point across and got permission from Armaan to use this joke.) like, stop staring at those pixels. Get up and come to school with me. You got this. Let’s go to school
Armaan: but I don’t want to.
Souf: let’s go to school. Your teachers are very concerned about you. They keep coming up to me and asking me where you have been. This thing has possessed you and turned you into a new person. So come with me
Armaan: ok I’m coming.
- Explain how your conflict/issue was resolved. What skills were used to resolve this conflict/issue?
- i didnt want to school as i wanted to play video games all day. Souf helped me by preessuring me to go to school. he presured me by saying everyone was concered for me even my teachers was concerned.
- How would using these skills make the person in the role play more resilient?
- this made me more resilent by it made me open my eyes and to see what bad things could happen to me.
