This week i learned about absolute values. I learned that the absolute value is what ever number that’s in the fancy brackets. Unless it’s negative. If it’s negative then you just make it a positive and take the brackets away. Absolute values seem quite scary, but they’re actually quite simple for now. I also learned about infinite series. That is when you find the sum of any geometric series as long as it converges. Meaning it gets smaller.

Week 2 Blog Post
I learned about arithmetic sequences. And that you can find out any term just by knowing the difference and the first term.
To get any term you do = + (n-1)d
and d = –
My Arithmetic Sequence
…
= + (n-1)(d)
= 5 + 49(5)
= 5 + 245
= 250
= 5 + (n-1)(5)
= 5 + – 5
Add like terms
=
= ( + )
= 25 (5 + 250)
= 25 (255)
= 6375
