Reflection:

Jamie, Demery and I created a balance using popsicle sticks, string a hanger and 3 different masses for our equilibrium project. We proved that our project was at equilibrium by calculating the torque and making sure that the sum of the counter clockwise and clockwise torques were equal. The forces we used were the forces of gravity and the length we used was the distance between the tied string and the fulcrum. We had a very small diffrence between the clockwise and counter clockwise torques meaning that our project was at equilibrium. The difference or torquess could have been due to the sticks not being completely parallel to the floor even if they looked like it.  It could have also been due to friction which could have altered our results. Since our errors were small this project proved that our balancing act was at equilibrium.
