A system is when 2 or more lines are working together.

When the lines touch each other its a solution.

A linear equation can have 0, 1 or infinite solutions.

0 solutions is when the lines are parallel and not touching each other, infinite is when they are parallel and touching each other and 1 is if they are not parallel.

To find the solutions to two lines, one of the methods you can use is called substitution.

You need to isolate one of the variables on one of the equations. Then you replace that same variable on the other equation with its solution.  (example 6+y=3+x -> 3+y=x then you move it to the other equation: 7y+8=x -> 7y+8 =3+y )

Once you have done this step, you solve using algebra. Once solving you should have one of the points, to find the other one, you drop it into the original equation. (example: if y= 6 and an original equation is 8+y=x than it turns into 8+6=x -> 14=x and your coordinates are (14, 6).)
