I have learned many new things during this course, these are my top 5 things that I found the most fun and useful.
- SOH CAH TOA: Before this year, I had no clue that you could find the angles of right triangles without a protractor but now I know that you can just put in Sin, Cos and Tan in your calculator with the other numbers given.
- Scientific notation: I found it very useful that instead of writing large or tiny numbers, you can break it down by multiplying the number by 10 with any exponent.
- Prime factorization: I don’t like trying to find all the factors by putting them in the calculator, but with this method, it made it way easier when we broke the numbers down.
- Systems: I didn’t know that it was possible to solve an equation with 2 variables but this unit taught me that if you have 2 equations with 2 variables, it is easy to find the variables.
- Word problem solving: Before we learned more about it, I thought that word problems were super confusing and required lots of brain power, but I learned how to break the question down to make it easier.
