Slope is what describes the steepness and direction of a line on a graph.

To find the slope you use the equation rise over run.

Rise is the change of the y value and run is the change in the x value.

You need to find 2 nice points on a graph (points that have integer coordinates) and you count the difference in the Y and X value.

Once you have them, you can reduce it (3/12 turns into 1/4)

the slope of this line would be 5/5 which reduces to 1/1 but the slope is going down so the slope is negative (-1)
