Silver Linings Reflection

Due to the plan-ruining global pandemic, we are all currently being quarantined in our homes. There are so many things I would rather do than being quarantined like hanging out with my friends or just go to public spaces in general without feeling the fear of catching a deathly virus. But through this quarantine, there are times where you can really appreciate the self-isolation. For me, I have been keeping in touch with friends more, calling them almost every day and virtually “hanging out” with them. It’s very nice considering I usually like talking with them, but because of school we can’t talk as much, so this quarantine gives me more of an opportunity to talk with them more! Another silver lining of the world-wide segregation for me is that I get to wake up and make my own delicious breakfast. On school days I don’t have time to eat breakfast, and if I do, it’s just a single boiled egg. But because of quarantine, I got to take my time in the mornings and make my own appetizing breakfast. Home solitariness has been a great time for self-reflection and it has me thinking of how much I appreciate taking walks outside and different ways to improve myself. As much as I enjoy it, I really hope this pandemic can come to an end very soon and that everyone and their routines can go back to normal.

Cherry Blossoms I saw while taking a walk.

One of the breakfasts I made for myself: avocado bagel, egg bagel, and cream cheese bagel.

  1. Yum, a healthy breakfast is definitely a silver lining, and stopping to smell the roses, or at least to notice the blooms. Nice work Angela!
