Review Questions…

  1. What questions did you need to research in order to create your sway?

To create my sway, I researched things I didn’t know about radium such as, who discovered radium, what was its common uses etc. I found that finding a site and finding more sites that showed the same results to see if this research is true and trustworthy.

 

  1. What new or familiar digital tools did you try to use as you worked through this project?

During this project I used Pexels, I used Pexels at the start of the school year to work on my digital footprint project. I also used a new tool called sway, I have never used sway before, but I was able to navigate through all the options, and I have become familiar with sway.

 

  1. What was the process you used to investigate the topic?

I usually started by opening Bing and just searching up my topic and using other cites to verify my research.

 

  1. How did you verify and cite the information you found?

While researching and investigating about my element I found that checking out other websites and seeing if they had similar or the same information before adding it to my sway project.

 

  1. How did the process of completing this challenge go? What could you have done better?

I thought that assembling my project was very easy, but the challenge was researching, during my research I had to make sure cites where liable and trustworthy. Out of all I did in the project I found that finding the right pictures was hard as radium is one of the less popular elements, I believe that I could have found some better pictures of radium.

Monologue Video – “Duncan following Cherry in the subway”

 

Description

This monologue is based off the book Acceleration by: Graham Mcnamee. This monologue shows us how the character Duncan tracks down a women named Cherry using a journal from a madman, he follows Cherry until she gets home

 

Script

Cherry rushes into her house, I let out a sigh of relief, I think why the Roach would not strike, he has been planning to murder Cherry for a week or two. He might have stopped because I was following her around for about half a block to ensure that she would be protected from the roach, or he didn’t want witnesses. Also, what does Cherry think of me it looked like I was stalking her when I trying to protect her, she probably thinks that I am crazy person. Plus, the roach is still out there, he could still be after her, or he forgot about Cherry because he lost the journal that I found on the train with all his ideas and plans. The Roach might even be planning to murder someone else! Anyways I need to relax I am sweating like a cup of water with ice in it.  i need to stay out here and find the roach; I need to read more so I can find out what he might do next, or even find out who he is.

 

Reflection

while I was choosing my seen this scene popped up in my head so much as Duncan had so many thoughts in his head after the whole incident. Writing the script was not hard but not easy I could just needed some feedback before finalizing it and I was extremely happy about how well the script look. Overall bringing my character to life was pretty easy, it was so simple because I had the main character so he was explained the most in the story. While crating my avatar I found that it was more of an opinion of what your character actually looks like so half the time you would be assuming stuff, such as Duncan’s hair I ended up with black, because when I looked at the different covers some had Duncan with black hair. I also was able to find some things that Duncan would wear, such as his black leather jacket which is Duncan prized possession which someone lost in the subway, the jacket also kind of has a story, he mentions that it had an old time stamp and that it was going to a YMCA sale for lost stuff so Duncan claimed the jacket. There where also some problems with recording on the blab rising website, first of all the audio pickup was horrible and made me sound loud and weird. After the recording I had to review it, and I decided to restart quite a few times as I just wasn’t satisfied with the results of my recording. Finally when it was good enough and gave up I slapped it onto my Edu blogs site.
