My afterthought

This interview made me think about the steps you have to reach a goal, if you think of Gianfranco’s story you have to think how long it took, for him to reach the first team cause it didn’t come emmidietly. He became a first team player after playing for all his youth and moving to the Whitecaps academy, then playing for the under 17’s world cup as a co-captain, to being loaned to the Canadian premier league to come back to reach one goal join the first team. You really have to think about the patience of Gianfranco, he has been to so many places in his career and to think he’s only 18 right now think of what he could accomplish, think about it, if he could make it that far anyone can if you be patient and work hard.

1.How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities?

Your digital footprint can affect your future because anyone can see everything that your posted in or tagged in, for instance, if your drinking at a bar, or doing something your not supposed to do  like, trespassing private property and lets say, its posted on Instagram, anyone can see or access that photo, so perhaps that your contractor sees it ,then he or she may not hire you do to inappropriate behaviors.

2. How to keep your digital footprint safe?

a)  You can delete or just not have Facebook or Instagram in general, so that nobody can access your personal information and also maybe you can ask your friends not to tag you in there posts. Last but not least if you use snapchat turn on ghost mode people will know where you live if they see your snapchat account.

b) If you do use Instagram or Facebook make a private account, what is a private account? A private account is an account that only lets somebody follow you with your permission, so only whoever you say can follow you see your posts. Also make sure nobody can stalk you, also don’t start DMing random people (basically texting on Instagram) your photos you do not know what they could do with that photo.

c) Last but not least, you should search yourself up on multiple search engines to make sure there is not any bad things about you online, example you at a bar or you partying inappropriately, this is almost always good if you don’t any of this stuff online, every time I search my self up it comes

with some chess player so maybe you’ll be luckier than me.

3. What would you should do to keep your digital footprint safe?

Finally how can you keep your own digital footprint safe

In conclusion, my advice is to not post anything with you doing anything illegal, even tho you shouldn’t be doing anything illegal anyways, don’t post anything inappropriate, or anything that’s not school appropriate because riverside can see your social media accounts if they wanted and they can report this stuff to your parents. don’t post anything to personal, frequently search your name up on social media and search engines, so that you know if there’s anything bad about you on the internet.

Thanks for reading my Edublogs post
