Questions:
How does the artifact you selected demonstrate strengths & growth in personal & social competencies?
Question:
In what ways might you further develop your personal & social competencies? Describe how the artifact you selected shows your strengths & growth in specific core competencies. The prompt questions on the left – or other self-assessment activities you may have done – may guide your reflection process.
Answer:
I can identify my strengths and limits, find internal motivation, and act on opportunities for self-growth.
My strength:
I can make friends easily because I’m funny, friendly, hyper (at times), active, and including.
Funny: I mostly make jokes around my friends and sometimes I do them in class. They’re usually funny jokes that people either laugh or roll their eyes at.
Friendly: I have a lot of friends (to many to count) because I enjoy hanging around others and people enjoy being with me. I’m always looking to add more friends to the growing number of my friends and acquaintances.
Hyper: Sometimes I become hyper which makes it hard for me to concentrate in class to the point where I do something stupid like almost hitting my classmate with a hockey ball in grade 9 gym class (Sorry about that).
Active: Sports are a big thing in my life because they give me a chance to improve my sport and teamwork skills. I make sure everyone gets a chance to play any game I happen to be playing, for example volleyball. Volleyball is my main sport, it’s a sport where friendships start, where strategies are made, and where teamwork comes in handy. I played for 2 years on the Focus Volleyball club in 2017-2019.
Including: It’s better to do activities with other people included in activities then doing them by yourself.
Question2:
I can set realistic goals, use strategies to accomplish them, and persevere with challenging tasks
Answer:
Depending what task I’m doing, I usually set tasks to complete them.
Like how to do homework for example:
1. Grab Coke or any Soda drink
2. Switch on the TV
3. Lean back on couch
4. Watch 4 hours or more of YouTube or Netflix
5. Do a sport for 3 hours (mostly Volleyball)
6. Then do work
I’m being funny, that is not actually how I do my homework.
