Reflection:
I really liked my group, we were all pretty on task but, we procrastinated quite a bit. We all participated equally and each had great ideas and contributed differently to the project. Our biggest difficulty was finding information, there weren’t a lot of websites with the information we needed. With the recording our obstacle was finding a microphone and room to record in.
Option 3: Positive and Personal Cultural Identity…What are some aspects you value about this culture, as well as your own?
I really value the appreciation for nature in the indigenous culture, I love the fact that they never waste anything. If they kill an animal they always find a way to use everything. I also really value their teachings and the stories they tell, I just find it beautiful the way that these teachings were always passed down from generation to generation. I am from Mexico and to be honest, there are a lot of things I love about my culture. In my culture, family is something valued a lot, and I love that. Everyone is knit together tightly and is always so supportive. I also, love our traditions like day of the Dead and just the way things are celebrated. There’s always music, people laughing, dancing, the parties are always so lively. I just think we are such happy culture and I love that.
