Digital footprint
My digital footprint can very much impact my overall scholar experience. They always check your digital footprint and your social media before hiring you for a job, or letting you in a university. It is very important to make sure your digital footprint doesn’t have anything bad about you, or else it could severely impact your overall life, too.
Phones are very useful, but they are also relatively detrimental to our academic success, in many factors. One of these being that they are very distracting, and many students often check their phones at least every five minutes in class. Another huge factor on why they check their phones is because they are dangerously addictive. With all these new apps like snapchat and Tiktok, it is very hard not to get addicted. Most apps give you notifications, which only makes the addiction worse. Usually, people use their laptops in class instead of their phones, so that the teachers can see what they’re doing, which is very understandable.
I think that my attributes can contribute to a positive school culture. In a way, I am very passionate about things that interest me. Usually, school doesn’t interest me very much, and I hated school for it. The constant boredom, looking at the clock, hoping the minutes will pass by quicker. However, in science, we were doing the biotechnology and solution fluency, and that was the very first time where I became genuinely interested in a school subject. We basically got to choose which subject we could do a research project on.[ Genetically modified babys, what humans will look like in 100 years, etc] I think me and my partner did really well on that project, because we were both intrigued. I believe that if a subject is interesting enough, you could make anyone a good student.
