To keep your digital footprint safe, don’t give out personal information, don’t post personal pictures and be aware of what you’re saying online. Just one comment can ruin your online and in person reputation. For example, a few years ago a woman posted a TikTok about her licking public foods during covid, and she supposedly ended up having to stay 20 years in jail as a consequence for her actions.

What red flags or warnings would indicate that someone you are talking to online may in fact be unsafe?

Talking to people online is very dangerous and you should be really aware. If someone you don’t know in real life asks about your full name, what school you go to, where you live, etc. don’t give out any of your personal information; just also beware because they could potentially be not who they say they are.
