As a British official, I realize that there are many alternatives to governing Quebec. I have chosen the policy of isolation to ensure the colony is properly run. If we can create separate territories everyone would have their own space and freedom within the government controlled reserves. This way, there are no fighting over which religion should be followed by all or which parts of a religion would be left out to form a new one. I feel like making everyone learn new laws and practices would create many complications and be a hassle for everyone. With this plan, there would be little to no change that the people would have to go through and sometimes change can have a negative effect on people. Doing it this way will create no conflict between which would be very good for the communities. If everyone has to get used to a new system and a new way of living there may be many people who would be confused and angry. As I have outlined above, I believe the best policy for governing Quebec is Isolation.  This will ensure that the colony will remain under British control and provide wealth for our glorious country.
