How did the discovery of DNA prove that Darwin’s theory of evolution was correct and how does it change the way we view evolution today and into the future?

Charles Darwin was a biologist who was famous for his theory on evolution. Darwins discovery of DNA backed up his theory, making it correct, it showed that a lot of species are actually related to each other and share DNA. This definitely changed the way we look at evolution today, because now we know what animals are ancestors and where they come from. Some animals will be related but not even look like each other, like humans and fish. Darwin also came up with Natural Selection after discovering that birds living on Galapagos Island all have different beaks.
